ROSEVILLE, CA, DECEMBER 8, 2015: GALLINA LLP partnered with The Movember Foundation to bring awareness to men’s health from prostate and testicular cancer to mental health. Throughout the month of November, team members throughout GALLINA’s 12 offices supported the nonprofit organization through monetary donations and symbolic representation of the month with a mustache. Both men and women helped raise over $1,000 and create significant awareness on social media.
“GALLINA is proud to support countless charitable nonprofits each year from the American Cancer Society to the Boys and Girls Club” states Managing Partner, Larry Taylor. He continues “historically, GALLINA hasn’t highlighted a nonprofit during the month of November, which made it a great opportunity to showcase a new charity, The Movember Foundation, focused on a cause that often doesn’t receive much hype.”
Over the calendar year, GALLINA’s team members have raised thousands of dollars for charity through internal fundraising campaigns. Movember was unique as it required more creativity than a typical fundraiser. Mustaches were adorned on babies, children, and adults including teams creating fun masculine themes from cowboys to pirates.
The Movember Foundation seeks to make a global impact on men’s health emphasizing a desire to create “happier, healthier, and longer lives.” To learn more about this nonprofit organization, visit https://us.movember.com.
